The
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice offers specialist palliative care to those
facing the end of their life, and to those who love and care for
them, in a compassionate and friendly environment.
Every day they support over 100 patients and carers
in their own homes, in the community and at the Hospice (in our
In-Patient unit, Day Hospice, Out-Patients and through Bereavement
Counselling).
As far as possible, they offer people the choice
about where they are cared for. The Hospice receives less than 16%
NHS funding and relies heavily on the support and generosity of
the local community.
All
of their services are free of charge but it costs £10,000
a day and therefore donations and legacy gifts are crucial.
